Tuesday morning session 10.30am-11.30am. Classes resuming in 2015 on 13th January.
On Tuesdays I welcome to Bhavan (Doonan) those who would like to experience the profound changes in awareness, balance, centering and calmness using the voice, in the ancient practice of chakra toning. Your chakras truly represent a pathway to awaken the full spectrum of human potential, you will be learning practical self-healing techniques for an empowering journey of self-discovery!
The human energy field is composed of seven main spheres of activity called chakras, which are stacked in a column that spans from the base of the spine to the top of the head. These organising centres serve as a coordinating network for our complex body-mind system. Each chakra plays an essential role with respect to different aspects of our physiology and psychology. When the chakras function in harmony, energy is able to flow freely for our highest good.
Toning is a therapeutic modality, using the sounding of specific vowels and consonants, to restore balance and harmony to the primary energy centres of the body (chakras) – many refer to this experience as a ‘deep inner massage.’
The therapeutic benefits of this practice can assist with deep relaxation, stilling the mind and chakra balancing, including the all important throat chakra, activation of energy meridians, opening of the compassion heart centre, joy, higher awareness and inner calm.
In a supportive weekly group environment participants are guided through various breathing and toning exercises.
A meditative music offering will conclude each toning session.
No prior experience is needed.
Light refreshments are provided.
Investment – $15 per person.
To assist in organising the space and numbers, if you are attending please contact me.
Please feel free to share this event with those who you feel will benefit from these mornings of harmonic balance.

Pratika shares about sound therapy
Sound is the basic creational force of the universe, and we as part of that are largely cells, tissues, bones and organs resonating at varying frequencies. The focused centres of resonating energies within the body are the chakras.
We are vibrational beings and when we are vibrationally aligned our bones, tissues, organs and emotions are vibrating in harmonic resonance. The natural harmonic resonance of our chakras (energy centres) can be impacted upon by a variety of factors, some of which are beyond our control, while many are. Sustained periods of imbalance can result in ongoing emotional and health issues, lethargy, tiredness, a lack of clarity and motivation. Illness, anxiety or stress results when the physical, emotional or subtle energy fields are vibrating at a higher or lower frequency than the optimum, out of tune with themselves and their surrounding energy fields.
Imbalances can result in blockages or crystallised patterns of emotional, psychological and physical suffering. By sounding a range of harmonic frequencies (sonic tonic) to the body’s energy fields a calmer, more harmonious and healthier state of vibrational balance arises, supporting our physical wellness and our spiritual and emotional balance.
A fundamental principle of sound therapy is that physical, emotional and mental symptoms are being generated by an underlying energy field. Thus, if we change the energy field, then the physical, emotional and mental behaviour patterns will change.
As we entrain with harmonic overtones, we shift to a alpha-theta brainwave pattern, which brings deeply meditative, relaxed and peaceful states. The heartbeat slows, blood pressure drops, tensions are released, breathing deepens and the mind quietens. In these harmonic fields brain waves and body frequencies are re-synchronized, balance is restored, stress is released, consciousness expands and wellness is restored. When blockages are released a new harmonic resonance is established and the process of energetic healing has begun.
The human energy field is composed of seven main spheres of activity called chakras, which are stacked in a column that spans from the base of the spine to the top of the head. These organizing centres serve as a coordinating network for our complex body-mind system. Each chakra plays an essential role with respect to different aspects of our physiology and psychology.
